Why We Give?

The Heart Behind Our Giving

The heart behind our giving is a response to God’s generosity—an act of worship, obedience, and love that advances His mission and blesses others.

It frees our hearts

Jesus talked about the love of money as much as he talked about anything. Why? Because he knew how easy it would be to run to money for our security and significance (the Scriptures call this "idolatry"). He even went so far as to say "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21). The reality is our resources are directly connected to our hearts - for better or worse. Giving isn't just for God or for the church; it's for us.

It feeds our devotion

What we give to, we're willing to prioritize. We long to see people live with wholehearted devotion to Jesus - where He is the central focus and highest priority. When you devote this area to Jesus and His mission, you're more willing to devote other areas of your life to Him as well (the goal eventually being all of your life surrendered to Jesus).

It fuels the mission

Practically, we need resources to extend the mission of Jesus to more people and places. We take seriously the responsibility to be good stewards of all that God (and you) entrust into our care knowing that we will have to stand before God and give an account. We ultimately long to be a conduit through which people give that we may see our resources go farther and impact more than we ever could have done on our own.

Thank You
